OMG, what a week.
If you have been visiting my page waiting for me to upload something new, I truly can't apologise enough, but last week was bleddy hard work, it turns out having two children can be seriously exhausting and straining.
Before I start moaning on to you, lets just get one thing straight, I love my children more than the world (how cliche') but, I dont suppose anyone will lend me a few quid for a sunny holiday? I dont even want to take my fiance' just pay for me?
Okay so, Faith was really starting to become accustomed to Rupert living with us, I get it, I make him sound like a lodger. Things were going really well, until I am sure that someone must've given her a potion or something in a sandwich and if i could name the potion it would be 'Screaming banshee'. If one more person tells me its a phase, I to may take the potion and go to town on them.
Phases happen, I get phases myself. Sometimes I have a chocolate phase, sometimes I have a crisp phase; I am very aware of them. However, how long does screaming "No" last? In the highest pitch possible, my eardrums may not take too much more. Or what about the "I dont like Roo mummy I just like you", I have to admit, that one has started to get funny now, and we just laugh at her. We have had some good days too, plenty of colouring and painting (mostly on feet), a day in the paddling pool; those are the days I cherish in the midst of the banshee days.
On Saturday night by best friend and I took some time out and went for a meal at a local pub, it was so lovely to sit and have adult conversation about adult stuff for a few hours instead of "Look at this poo, its the same shape as Daddy's poo". I over indulged that night and went home feeling like Winnie the Pooh.
Sunday me and My Mum did our grocery shops, we quite often go together to do a shop somewhere more exotic than Tesco, wahoooo party on. This time was a new Lidl. Faith spent the first hour silently frowning in the trolley, but as soon as my Mum picked up a pair of Paw Patrol crocs her frown soon changed.
As for this week so far, its been a total write off. The two children have green snotty noses and coughs, so (thumbs up) its fantastic as you can well imagine.
I'll end this on a postive note though, I haven't had much of an opinion on the goings on in this country at the moment. It has become (in my opinion) quite a scary place to be. So it makes me proud how the country have come together to raise money and show that we are strong. It also makes me feel like the luckiest lady in the world to have two healthy, growing beautiful little human beings and a roof over my head.
Each day longer is a blessing
